Survival Skills for Each Zodiac Sign |
This year presents a number of challenges astrologically for all signs, but depending on where the configurations hit, there are different concerns for each member of the Zodiac.
First of all, Jupiter in Pisces has been around since January 2010 and creating the need for massive change on both a social and personal level. The problem with this is that changes that transform our foundations with this type of configuration are very slow and painstaking. Many of us feel like we are waiting around for results that never seem to manifest in real life so we feel stuck and paralyzed.
Saturn in Virgo has been chastising most of us financially and romantically since September 2007 and it is a trend that is going to continue until July 2010. This uncomfortable influence forces us to scale back and it is the influence that is responsible for the sad consequences of the recession.
Uranus in Aries is both a positive and negative influence that can cause changes to do with our workplace or home. Many of us will be dealing with changes of residence or being forced to acquire new technology because the technology that we do have is becoming obsolete. This influence has been around since May 2010 and it is going to continue to influence us until 2018!
Pluto in Capricorn is also a major influence that has been shaking up the foundations of our very beliefs since January 2008 and this disquieting influence is going to be affecting us all until 2023. This influence, which ruptures and heals relationships and causes some people to reinvent them completely, can be upsetting, but it is also completely freeing for some signs at the same time.
Here is a look at how some of these influences might be affecting your zodiac sign in the near future.
Aries
Uranus in your sign will be propelling your career rapidly forward until 2018, which means that your survival skill is going to flexibility and adaptability. This could mean that you move several times in order to get ahead. It also means that your sign will probably be the first to own or explore any new technology that is invented in the next few years.
Taurus
Saturn in Virgo has caused cash shortage in your life and you may find that you are taking two steps backwards for every step forward. Discipline and control over the emotions is required of you right now and if you can manage to stay on track you will be prosperous in the future.
Gemini
Uranus in Aries is teaching you to think quickly on your feet. The two coping skills you will need this year is an eagerness to learn as well as a willingness to trade in the old for the new. It will be apparent to many Geminis that they need to make sweeping changes for their lives to succeed and throughout the next eight years they will have many opportunities to acquire new technology and investigate different lifestyles.
Cancer
Patience is the biggest survival skill required of you at the moment because Jupiter in your fellow water sign of Pisces is creating the need for change, but the tools and necessary help that you need to make it is taking its time. Pluto in Capricorn may be causing some distress in your family life; to cope you need to not react to an individual who may be constantly baiting you with threats. Don’t be afraid to call a bluff!
Leo
Sudden change is in your future for the next eight years thanks to the influence of Uranus in your fellow fire sign of Aries. You may find that it hard to put down roots while this is going on as events in your life will feel as if they are constantly conspiring to propel or push you forward. However, in the long run, this is a positive influence that will have you blessed with many more skills so develop patience and flexibility.
Virgo
Saturn in your sign for the past two years has made life difficult in every single way. Romantically, a partner may be less supportive or even gone. Financially, it may be apparent that you cannot afford to do something on your own. Your coping skill for this time is going to be about the fine art of “letting go.” Don’t be afraid to drop that leech or dead weight from your life.
Libra
You will be dealing with the influence of Pluto in Capricorn for the next thirteen years, which means that it is time to straighten out any disputes or differences that you may have with a spouse or members of a family. The coping skill required for this is to be very humble as deep psychological changes and changes to how you see others and how they see you are just not going to happen quickly. However, it will be beneficial in the end.
Scorpio
Pluto, one of your ruling signs, is in Capricorn where it will be influencing your home life for the next little while. This energy is all about transforming your beliefs at the deepest levels so the coping skills you will need our patience and an open mind. Capricorn

Your coping skill is discipline and finding the stamina and long term vision to see this recession through to the end. Aquarius

Of course, this means that you are going to have to cultivate your willingness to learn new skills. Pluto in Capricorn is likely causing some distress in a close relationship. However, you might have to learn to compromise as it does not seem that you can leave this person behind in life just yet.
Pisces
A bit of blind faith is necessary at the moment if you are going to get through the next few years. Jupiter in your sign is expanding your world, but in a way that is very frustrating and slow. Patience is a very necessary survival skill for you right now. Pluto in Capricorn has also been creating the need to drop bad habits and destructive emotional patterns and if you do not take the hint that it is time to change, you may be facing some wake up calls to do with this in the next couple of years.
