Children's Dreams: Do You Listen?
Listen to Your Child's Dreams by Sylvia Browne

What is your first thought when your child wakes up? You may be thinking about their upcoming day at school. But before you start the day, your child may need to talk about their dreams from the previous night. Do you listen to your child’s dreams?

In most homes, children don’t mention their dreams often. Maybe a certain dream experience stands out over the past several months for your child. When children dream, their “spirit minds” are let loose while they sleep. Many children have experiences of astral travel, visiting Home, and even connecting with those from The Other Side in dreams.

Before we can learn how to interpret dreams, we must understand children’s dreams. Children dream in different levels as they age. Young children – at 3 or 4 years of age – will never include themselves in their dreams. These young children simply don’t have a sense of identity just yet. Researchers discovered that children will not include strangers in their dreams until the age of six. Children are very active when they sleep and tend to gravitate to the familiar.

By about 10 or 12, most children lose their conscious connection to the spirit world. This is usually because they have been made to feel silly or inappropriate about this. Some children may have even been accused of lying if they mention a spirit in a dream.

To help your children with their dreams and to understand how to interpret their dreams, encourage children to talk about them. Simply saying to your child, “What did you dream about?” every morning is a great way to begin this conversation. Your child will tell you all about their dream. Keeping your child’s dreams written down in a notebook can help you track your child’s dream life.

I meet some parents that don’t like to ask questions about their children’s dreams – and that’s a real shame. These parents have various reasons for not asking. Some parents simply don’t want to “push” their children for information. Other parents don’t want to be disappointed if the child doesn’t remember a lot of information or if the dream isn’t interesting.

You know that our dreams are full of valuable information. We can have “wish” dreams, “release” dreams and “prophetic” dreams – just to name a few. When you were a child, wouldn’t it have been helpful if someone had encouraged you to talk about your dreams? Having someone to talk about your dreams with, and help you understand them, can be so valuable to anyone – especially a child. Listen to your child’s dreams – they may amaze and surprise you!

Love always,

Sylvia Browne

P.S. Our dreams are so valuable to us. They provide us with a window to the subconscious, a chance to travel astrally, and a place to express and release emotions. Your child dreams just as vividly as you do. My book, Book of Dreams, discusses children’s dreams as well as the many types of dreams you can have. Learn how your dream life affects your waking hours!

Sylvia Browne is without question, "America's #1 Psychic," an internationally known psychic and medium.

My son woke up in the middle of the night last month and said, "Mommy, I dreamed that I wet the bed." Sure enough my little boy's "dream" proved waranted; he soaked his bed! Uggh!!!

Children make up stories, imagine all sorts of things, they're kids! Kids will be kids! There's nothing mystical or magical about it!

My 4yr old niece says that THE ORANGE CIRCLE TALKS TO HER & 1 time she was sleep-crying in the morning. When I asked her what she dreamt, she said, "I dreamed my daddy shot my mommy & me". I HAD A VERY SIMILIAR DREAM TO THAT ONCE. I dreamt that he was trying to swing his gun & 'accidentally' shoot me & then my niece woke up & came out, when she wasn't supposed to, so he kicked her, full-force, in her body. WISH SOMEBODY WOULD TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY.

It was cute, the way my God-daughter mentioned a dream, for the 1st time. She said, "I see people behind my eyes".

Dear Sylvia, It is wonderful that you share your special gift with us to help us understand our life here on earth. I love you, I have always asked my children what their dreams were. From the time my son told me he had pictures behind his eyes at night when he slept. My children are 25 years old now and we still discuss their dreams if they wish. I had a dream book so we could try and interpret their dreams, but a book does not do justice to the pure innocence and truth children hold in their dreams. Thank-you Sylvia for your wonderful insight on this subject. I see now I was not wrong in talking to my children about their dreams. I wish my mother had wanted to talk to me about my dreams when I was young. I can still remember how real they were and how even as a child I wanted to take back something that would prove to me the dreams were real. I can remember leaving my body after I went to sleep and the journeys I would go on. I wanted my children to experience the same things and I also wanted them to understand their dreams are a very important part of their lives. Thank-you again Sylvia for pointing this out to me and to everyone else. Much love and respect-Bernadine from California 4-23-09

Dearest Sylvia,I was @ the last web meeting & will be again but admittedly I had been at a loss as towhat & how to propose questions or to what degree? Since being there I have become more aware. It was Great meeting your son btw. Yes, I had two very profound Dreams as a child, that were horrifying, one inclusive of my family and the other me soley. The latter followed me into adulthood, and there is no way I will ever forget either Dreams....unfortunately I still have not gotten your book (as I must) to decipher hopefully what they meant. In regard to the webcast, since I was in doubt as to what questions to ask, I felt very selfish in asking about earthly or material things, and basically all my concerns are really beyond that. I do hope to meet you one day for a reading & possibly gain insight into those questions. Thank you for giving so much of, and devoting yourself to this 'Life' of helping others. P.K. signed to recognize myself in a response.

Sylvia, I just want you to know I am almost finished reading your book, psychic Children and I am most grateful for all the information. I just love you!:) I also watched your last show with Montel Williams. It brought tears to my eyes. You are one of the greatest teachers on earth and I feel blessed to have you as my teacher, through reading your books. I enjoy your books very much and will continue reading them for guidance. I just wanted to ask you about my children. I have one girl who is 4 years and 2 boys ages 2yrs. & the youngest 5 months. I want to know if I have made the right desicion to Home school her? What do you see in the future for her. also, which should I put her into : Dance, Gymnastics or Martial Arts? and if my daughter will ever get into The Pearls school... The next question has to do with a Tibetan man who appeared (in a dream I had before my daughter was born) to me and said a psychic will be born and then he dashed away. Who was he? Is he related? and what is the name of my Daughters spirit guide and my spirit guide. Last, My husbands' Mother and Youngest Brother past away last year and I would like to know who my 5 month old is seeing. He's always looking at someone and laughing and playing. I always sense someone is around. and what is in the future for my two sons. I Thank You so much in advance, I love you, Sincerly, Sheila Young -Sherpa
